      The vocational agriculture program was a one-teacher, traditional, produc- tion agriculture program. Instead of abolishing vocational agriculture, the school district inves- tigated alternative ways in which the program could serve the com- munity (Palmer, Jim was a member of the National Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association and served as their Pennsylvania State President in He was awarded the Outstanding Teacher of Vocational.
